 About Compass Marine
Compass Marine was started by Erica and Tim Mear in 1989. Over the years the company has grown (along with its sister company Compass Events) and now incorporates both of their daughters – Lucy and Emilie, and son in law Alan, as part of the team. Because we are a family firm we have the ability to deal with our customers as human beings and not as statistics in a faceless corporation!
We probably sell more fenders than anyone else in the country, selling direct to the public either at exhibitions and shows or via this website. Our reputation has been built up by providing a service which is fast, friendly and personal.
We take a lot of time to source not just great value but great quality products. We are already the UK's number one fender specialist and are fast becoming the one of the largest specialist fender retailers in Europe. This specialisation allows us to advise our customers fully and clearly, ensuring they get the right products for their needs. All types of fenders are sourced, together with related items such as covers and cleats from the world's leading manufacturers. We attend many of the boat shows, boat jumbles and other nautical events in the UK and Europe and are very much a hands-on company. We always enjoy meeting our customers and are happy to give help and advice. Please feel free to contact us at any time if you are unsure what you require or have any other enquiries.
Please note: You are always welcome to collect items in person, but as Compass Marine doesn't have a shop in Dartmouth please allow us at least 48 hours to check the stock and arrange to bring the items into Dartmouth, items to collect will then be available to pick up from either The Compass Office Shop or the Compass Bookshop.
