The PVM2 is a solid fender made by Ocean Fenders, designed especially for protecting the corners of a boat’s swim platform (or stern/swim‑platform corners). It offers enhanced protection in those more exposed areas.
Made from Flexible integral PU ("polyurethane”) skin foam. This is a closed‑cell, solid foam material with an integral skin (tough outer surface). It provides good shock absorption, resistance to water, abrasion, and UV exposure. Because it is solid foam, it cannot deflate, which reduces maintenance and risk of failure under pressure or puncture. Surface finish is UV‑ and abrasion‑resistant.
Length: 430 mm
Height: 240 mm
Width/Depth: 250 mm
Weight: 2.5 kg
To attach - Has two through‑holes with nylon fibre reinforced bushes for strength. These allow secure attachment, e.g. with lanyards or lines.
- Excellent shock absorption — solid foam dampens impacts when berthing or when the vessel swings under anchor or with swell.
- Long service life: the material and solid design reduce points of failure (no seams, no inflatable parts).
- Useful in multiple locations: bow fender, stern, swim platform protection, dock fending.
